Opportunities to Join the YWCA Mission Through Sponsorship
As we look to the challenges of 2021—increased numbers of women and children experiencing homelessness, continued job loss disproportionally felt by women and families of color and continued inequity in education and young adult support, YWCA is there to stand up and serve.
But we need your help to be our best.
For 2021 YWCA has two opportunities for community partners to support the mission. Your support through sponsorship of STAND Against Racism or the Empowering Women Sponsorship will help provide housing, young adult services and the equity advocacy our community needs for healing and change.
STAND Against Racism: Sparking Change
On April 14, the Rochester community will stand together in solidarity at the YWCA STAND Against Racism: Sparking Change virtual experience. This one day virtual experience seeks to extend the Rochester 21-Day Equity Challenge through actions for both individual and systemic change for ALL.
YWCA of Rochester & Monroe County is partnering with United Way, Action for a Better Community, Ibero-American Action League and the Urban League of Rochester to provide a one day experience of action “sparks” designed for both individuals and organizational systems to share best practices in the fight for equity as we partner together for impactful and lasting change.
Building off the innovative YWCA Person2Person curriculum that matches community members for meaningful conversation and reflection on issues of equity, the Sparking Change experience will match community participants (Spark Partners) with other individuals outside of their places of work with the goal of meaningful connection and accountability as change agents.
Empowering Women Sponsorship
During October 2021, YWCA community partners will help ensure equity for ALL through housing and young adult services by investing in the Empowering Women Sponsorship. This opportunity provides direct program support to the women and children we serve. Investments in the Empowering Women Sponsorship provide unrestricted support for emergency shelter, programming for women and families experiencing domestic violence, programs for chemical dependency and young adult services. Benefits of direct program support include billboard, print and social media recognition.
Sponsorship packages are also available for those interested in sponsoring both initiatives.

Our community needs the critical services of YWCA and your support ensures we are there each and every day to meet that need.
