Developing Strengths, Setting Goals







The YWCA offers weekly youth development workshops and community service learning opportunities to teens at city high schools and at Avenue D Community Center. Caring adults provide a safe and nurturing environment that helps teens acquire valuable life skills, learn how to avoid risky behaviors and boost school achievement.  

Program Details:

  • Workshops build criticial skills such as goal-setting, decision-making, positive self-esteem, and assertive communication

  • Community service projects help teens develop leadership skills and make a difference in the lives of others

  • Recreational and social activities are also offered throughout the year
