Nearly 1,600 wonderful sponsors and guests, over 700 gifts, two incredibly inspirational stories shared by women taking part in the YWCA's programs, and one amazing keynote!   Our thanks to everyone who made the 2011 Empowering Women Luncheon a record-breaking success!  Thanks to your generosity, you have made it possible for the YWCA to receive the entire $50,000 challenge issued by the Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation!  This is the third year the Foundation has issued this challenge.  We are so grateful for their continued efforts to improve the lives of women and children in need in our community.

Also as a special thank you to donors, Susan Roberts of Bausch & Lomb personally donated beautiful bracelets engraved with “YWCA…Empowering Women Every Day” to those who gave $365 or more at the event.  This message was chosen to remind donors of their gift’s impact every day of the year.  Every gift is important.  Every gift makes a difference.
