What is Person2Person? Connection is powerful
Eight sessions designed for the mid to high level executive, the Person2Person program partners each participant with a counterpart from another participating organization. Partners will be paired as two individuals who identify differently racially and/or ethnically.
Person2Person provides a platform for rich dialogues surrounding topics that are traditionally excluded from a business setting. Participants of Person2Person will be encouraged to engage in conversations highlighting race relations, unconscious biases, cultural differences and systemic racism.
Curriculum themes include: creating an inclusive organization, racial disparities in corporate settings; mitigating points for biases; dismantling structural racism.
Sessions will be held on 5/18, 5/25, 6/8, 6/15, 6/22, 6/29, 7/6 and 7/13 from 1 PM to 5 PM at Five Star Bank at the City Gate location (395 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY 14620).
Please join our alumni as ambassadors of change in our city, organizations and world today, because together we can prosper.
Person2Person Creates Prosperity
With an esteemed group of alumni, Person2Person has been noted as an inspiration relating to diversity initiatives in the Brockport School District, the Veterans Outreach Center and Nazareth College. While achieving greater social value is an important component, research has shown there is a clear business case for Person2Person. Businesses with a more diverse workforce have more customers, higher revenues and profits, greater market share, less absenteeism and turn-over, and a higher level of commitment to their organization.
Our current racial justice initiatives include:
Stand Against Racism – Each year, we hold an annual community-wide event to build awareness about racism. We reach out to businesses, schools, houses of worship, organizations, and government agencies to join the effort. For more information on this event, click here.
